Nova Smar S.A. has been working with B2ML since August 2020 when we developed a small project together. The success of this first experience quickly motivated us to expand our partnership, executing a more complex and higher-risk project. In May 2021, we began the development of NovaCSB, the world's first configurator for control strategies in industrial process automation applications based on the Open Process Automation Specifications (O-PAS) standards. The O-PAS standard is a set of international specifications proposing an open, interoperable, and secure architecture based on IT and TA standards, some already established, others emerging, such as OPC-UA, AutomationML, RedFish, among others. The NovaCSB project is an innovative and strategically important project for Smar as a technology company. It involves the application of emerging technologies, requiring continuous learning to keep up with constantly evolving specifications. Such a project can only be carried out based on a close relationship of trust with a development partner that can offer professionalism and competence. This is the kind of relationship we have experienced in the development partnership with B2ML. Initially, we worked as two separate teams with weekly meetings mediated by managers, the Product Owner on Smar's side, and the Scrum Master on B2ML's side. As activities progressed and teams from both companies interacted, we observed increasing integration among developers, eventually becoming one team participating in daily meetings. Thanks to the agility that this integration provides and the technical and managerial competence of B2ML professionals, the project has been achieving its objectives, meeting challenging deadlines, and delivering excellent technical results, garnering attention from our clients in Brazil and around the world.
